STUDY HABITS AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AMONG PUBLIC JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE EKUMFI DISTRICT: INVESTIGATING THE CONTROLLING EFFECT OF LEARNING STYLES

Despite the increased prominence of research on influence study habits and learning styles students’ academic performance in recent years, there are still controversies debates literature whether style strengthens effect performance. Therefore, this utilized Bakare (1977) theory VAK postulated by Fernald Keller (1920) as theoretical lenses to examine among students public Junior High Schools Ekumfi District, while controlling for possible styles. A cross-sectional descriptive survey design was used collect quantitative data through a questionnaire checklist from 475 using proportionate stratified sampling techniques. After meeting validity reliability requirements, inferential statistical tools such Pearson Product Moment Correlation hierarchical multiple regression were analyze data. The revealed that overall, attained strong statistically significant positive relationship with overall Besides, exclusively contributed significantly It further did not impede Instead, reinforced link between students.
